It is here that the city of Cannes has installed a special system for finding kids that wander away from their families. It's called Tétéoù and it's in place from mid-June to mid-September. During this period the above beaches are outfitted with tall poles topped with a conspicuous symbol like a balloon or a banana. The lifeguards here hand out plastic bracelets upon which you write your name and phone number. Tell the kids to go to the nearest pole if lost and the lifeguard will phone you. Ingenious, no?
