Gazagnaire is a public beach on the eastern end of Cannes. Like its neighbor to the east, Moure Rouge beach, Gazagnaire is in a residential neighborhood and attracts a predominantly local crowd.
Although not "managed" like the public beaches of Macé and Zamenhoff, Gazagnaire is equipped with beach showers and there's plenty of space to throw down a towel. In the summer, a special net is stretched out underwater to protect bathers from jellyfish.
Parking and Transport
There's some parking on the side streets that intersect with the beach. Otherwise, there's free parking at Palm Beach to the west and also east of Moure Rouge.
Drinking and Dining
There's a sandwich stall on Gazagnaire beach that sells cold drinks and snacks. For a meal, try the Restaurant-Bar Pomme-Api across the road which has a small menu of reasonably-priced dishes.
