On the west side of Cap d'Antibes, almost directly across from La Garoupe is this small, public beach. Although open to all, Plage des Ondes (named after the nearby Chemin des Ondes) is primarily used by locals as the only parking available is on the streets perpendicular to the beach and space disappears rapidly.
The beach is sandy and on a sheltered cove with views of the Esterel mountains in the distance. There are beach showers but no other facilities. Unlike many other public beaches, there are no kiosks selling food and it's a long walk to get to a cafe, restaurant or snack joint. Come prepared!
Until 2019, Ondes beach has struggled to maintain consistently clean water but the problem seems to have been resolved. (source: baignades.sante.gouv.fr/)
